Members are responsible for booking their own hotel accommodations.

Blocks of hotel rooms have been set up at the following establishments for SUN members.

Provincially funded members are not required to book accommodations at these hotels; however, restrictions do apply when booking hotel rooms.  Visit the FUNDING page for more information.

NOTE: Space is limited; members are encouraged to book before the release dates noted below to ensure hotel accommodations have been secured.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Will SUN Provincial book my hotel room?
   • No, SUN provincial will not book hotel rooms on behalf of members.
   • As per Membership Policy 058-M-2023, the booking and payment for accommodations shall be the responsibility of the member. 
   • Provincially funded members will be reimbursed for their hotel accommodations following the event. Receipts required.
2. Do I have to stay in a room at the Delta Marriott or Ramada Plaza?
   • No, members are not required to book a hotel room within the room blocks set up by SUN Provincial.
   • For provincially funded members, the maximum allowable reimbursement = $107.50 per member, per nights stay, including taxes and parking.
     • Reimbursement shall be based on standard accommodations, as determined in the budget.
3. What if I miss the booking deadline for a hotel room in the blocks or can’t get a hotel room at the Delta Marriott or DoubleTree?
   • Not to worry - you are welcome to book at another establishment.
   • Funding for accommodation shall be on the basis of two members sharing a room.
   • Maximum allowable reimbursement = $107.50 per member, per nights stay, including taxes and parking.
     • Reimbursement shall be based on standard accommodations, as determined in budget.
4. I’m travelling from out-of-town, do I qualify for funding to cover my hotel stay?
   • Members eligible to receive funding from SUN Provincial, and travel in excess of 50 kms one-way, will receive funding for their hotel accommodations.
5. I was selected for provincial funding. What does my funding cover for accommodations?
   • Funding for accommodation shall be on the basis of two members sharing a room.
   • Members wishing to book a single occupancy (1 bed) shall be responsible for one-half (½) of the cost of the room.
   • Maximum allowable reimbursement = $107.50 per member, per nights stay, including taxes and parking.
