This full-day virtual workshop, designed for Local Presidents, will focus on providing participants with valuable tools and resources to help them support members in the workplace.

The Leadership Workshop will focus on:

  • Governance & Roles within SUN
  • Supporting Members Through Union Processes
  • Building Strong Locals
  • Addressing the Hot Topics

 

FUNDING AVAILABLE: 

  • There is a total of 48 provincially funded seats available for Local Presidents/designates to attend this event.
    • Any seats unclaimed by Local Presidents/designates, will be awarded through random draw.
  • Members who are interested in learning more about the role of the Local President and processes in place are welcome to register for the workshop and request to be entered into the random draw.
  • As per Membership Policy 065-M-2023, funding for this event is limited to wages for the day.
  • To be eligible for funding, applicants must:
    1. Select "Requesting Provincial Funding" option
    2. Register by the registration deadline.
